About

Scott AlexanderI live in the California Bay Area with my wife and best friend Cristy, and dog Bailey (…we feel fortunate that he lets us live with him…) As early as I can remember, my father owned a photography business. This gave me great accessibility to photo equipment and a darkroom. Little did I know the presence of his business in the home would later become my passion.

I enjoy many different subjects of photography as each has its uniquely rewarding benefit. There is something about having control over the camera to obtain different effects that control mood through color, light, composition, exposure speed, and aperture. My inspiration is drawn from many different photographers and artists.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by!

I have had the privilege of capturing many couple’s special day.

There is something about taking the most important day of a couple’s life and applying an artistic touch to every moment possible.

My goal in photographing weddings is not only to make the bride and groom happy, but to have their friends insist on seeing the pictures again and again…

If you would like more information about my wedding photography, have a look at my wedding page here at the site.

It is the greatest compliment when a couple trusts you to capture all of the moments for their big day!

Motorcycle photography is a newer photography subject interest of mine.

Custom bikes present a personality as unique as it’s builder.

When photographing bikes, the bike takes center stage. Capturing what makes it unique piece of art is rewarding. Attention to detail is a must!

Of course with motorcycles comes a lifestyle and great group of people surrounding these machines – a combination I am going to enjoy for years to come!

If you are a proud rider and own a great piece of machinery that you would like to schedule a shoot for, feel free to contact me!

Mother Nature never lets me down and provides so many subjects that are beautiful. I set out to capture that beauty and display it in a way that will hopefully cause you to pause and stare.

We get so distracted by our day to day lives that we often forget to “stop and smell the flowers”.

The above “Silent Sermon” titled photo – along with two others in my gallery, have coincidentally been photographed in the center of a business park, along a main path that connects several buildings.

You could very well be walking past these sites everyday and not even know! :)

It isn’t just about firing off a few shots before you devour the subject, it is about lighting, bringing out the color, texture, and ingredients.

I enjoy food and wine and often photograph it to keep record. Put the picture in front of me and I can immediately recall the occasion and everything about the food.

…I can also remember the looks on the faces of neighboring tables as they watched me getting into a little project as it unfolded in front of me.
